What is weed ?
Weeds are all unwanted and unnecessary plants in the land of any desired crop at a particular time. For example, if a wheat plant grows in a paddy field, then that wheat plant will also be considered a weed. However, there are a number of known weeds in Bangladesh paddy fields which are found in paddy fields every season. They are competitive and indomitable and capable of rapid reproduction. Let's know which weeds are more common in paddy fields.
Types of weeds in paddy field
Three types of weeds are commonly seen in paddy fields in Bangladesh
Sage- Chichra, Yellow Mutha, Jayna, Big Chucha.
Grasses- Durba, Small Shama, Big Shama, Anguli Grass
Broad leaves- Shushani Shak, Jheel Pepper, Chand Mala, Pani Kachu, Pani Long, Pani Doga.
How weeds damage crops
Prevents the normal growth of the plant by dividing the rice food, light, air and water. In general, weeds can take more food from the soil than rice. Acorns show a lack of nutrients in rice plants, the plants become limp, weak and yellow.
The number of pods in rice plants is reduced.
Weeds increase disease attack in rice fields.
Increases production cost of crops.
If left untreated, weeds can reduce yields by up to 80%.
Duration of paddy field weed free
If the paddy field is kept weed free for a certain period of time, the weeds will not harm the plant as much later.

Acetachlor 14% + Benzulfuron Methyl 4%

Application rate:
15 gm Wideout 18WP mixed with 10 liter of water should be applied on 5 decimal of land. The soil should have 2-2.5 inches of water at the time of application and should retain water for 3-5 days after application.
